I think Main Page needs a big overhaul.
- I find section titles rather clumsy, but I currently have no idea for something better.
- Some items should be moved:
- "This wiki is about... / What can I find here? / Information and stuff..." should be rephrased and moved to LilyPondWiki:About, section "A wiki for LilyPond? What for?"
- remove "Here you can find" and show links with a bigger font size, and captions summarizing target pages.
- Links to "About LilyPondWiki", a contributions pages (guidelines, todo list, ...) should be added.
- "What can I do here" title should be renamed to something like "Help wanted", "Contributions are welcome", or simply deleted — but keep blurb in this section!

Wiki Music Notation
I wish there was a way to write and edit music notation on-line. In this way, different users could contribute to the same file/article without installing any software. You can't do that with pictures. Gus 2007-02-01 12:28
Maybe you're refering to technologies like Guido Noteserver : http://www.educamus.ac-versailles.fr/spip.php?article63 (this French example shows how can music notation be integrated in a web 2.0 way). As a matter of fact, there _is_ a LilyPond MediaWiki extension, written by Johannes Schindelin, but which is unmaintained so far, and not even installed on this very Wiki ! :-( Pers 18:42, 1 February 2007 (CET)
Hi! The fact is that Lilypond extension needs Lilypond to be installed on the server. But we just cannot install lilypond on the tuxfamily's servers... because they are not ours. If you have some solution or hint, I would be very glad to try it :) --simonpca 16:48, 3 March 2007 (CET) (Wiki Admin)
Maybe there is a way after all: Christophe Richard (from the French list) has set up a public Lilypond server (lilyserv.net); he's using it in his LilySPIP plugin for the SPIP CMS, but maybe it can be used with the MediaWiki extension (it would need some PHP tweaking though).Pers
