I'm browsing, looking for a guide / info on using lilypond to embed score on a webpage. Any advice would be appreciated. Peegee 07:06, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Simple solution: compile the LilyPond code as a PNG image on your computer, and post the PNG image.
A more complex solution is to install LilyPond in "jail mode" on a dedicated webserver. That requires computing power, and some sysadmin skills. (Hint: you probably do not want to go there.) Pers 10:39, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- I was looking at the feasibility of a web application that can handle the creation of scores 'on the fly' - I'm the non-technical partner of a business which is looking at creating a support system for music teachers to use to communicate with + support the learning of pupils / parents - I'll read around what 'jail mode' means, because I suspect that's the direction it'd need to be - perhaps there might be some sysadmins with such experience around this community? :-) - Thanks for your response...
